YIDC has advocated protection and conservation with vocal support
This is our second year of investing almost ¼ of a million dollars back into the community by sponsoring and managing economic development networking and educational events. The Foundations Conference hosted its second annual event and was attended by people from every shareholder community. We pride ourselves on having secured third party funding for our community development initiatives and are proud that we primarily employed or contracted first nations vendors for these events.
In all of our investment relationships and partnerships, we remain committed to promoting environmental responsibility. Strategically, we know that our shareholders and our communities expect this priority will be considered in all of our decisions. Last year YIDC vocally supported the protection and conservation of the Peel Watershed. In each of our development projects we prioritize minimal impact on the land.
